Round One: Judging Information
Congrats on making it to Round One. :) Here are the scores and other important judging notes for the end of this round. First, we'll go name by name:
Rachael: Your powerful imagery and sensory details have kept you safe. Congratulations. You'll be moving on.
Amanda: You were very close to being eliminated this round. Like Lucy mentioned, the list-ish style of your first few stanzas threw the readers off a bit. But you're safe.
Dev: Congratulations. :) You're the gold winner, and for good reason, too.
Maple: A very delicate, soft touch to your piece. Well done. You are safe.
Dawn: While the beginning tripped some of the judges up, you ended on a beautiful note, and carried your alliteration through well. You are safe.
Junysia: Some redundance, and some use of filler words...but overall, nicely played. You are safe.
Kristy: Your personal connection and innate brilliance have rendered you, without a doubt, safe. Congratulations.
Mairead: You played this challenge well - a beautiful array of images, and savory descriptions. Saaaafe!
Jasper: You've left the judges sighing. Absolutely brilliant.
Matt: You had so many quotable lines throughout your piece. Amazingly played, and you're definitely safe.
Silent Sorceress: Your imagery, repetition, and overall word choice was excellent. You are safe.
So, who's been eliminated?
Sorry to see you go, Joel. :( We enjoyed having you for the amount of time you were here.
Our safe contestants are Rachael, Amanda, Dev, Maple, Dawn, Junysia, Kristy, Mairead, Jasper, Matt, and Silent Sorceress, in no particular order other than what they entered. Your next challenge is located here:
